课程介绍

This program provides instruction in the areas grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing, comprehension and oral presentations.

We will focus on reading and understanding various types of literature appropriate to the grade level. Students will develop proficiency in writing argumentative, informative, and narrative texts.
They will learn to see how to use the texts to support their opinion and arguments. When reading short stories, they will learn how to write about the development of plots and themes and use this understanding to support their analysis of the story.
They will learn to use appropriate vocabulary and writing conventions appropriate to their grade level and topic.
In the area of comprehension, they will learn how to conduct research to answer a question, gathering information from various sources that will be supplied to them in addition to their own independent research.
They will be able to support their writing and development of ideas using evidence from a variety of sources.
Students will be given weekly vocabulary exercises, where they will practice using context clues to determine the meanings of words.

They will also work on an oral presentation project where they will give their presentation using strong speaking skills.
They will also develop their abilities with electronic visual aids such as Google Slides.
